So i went i saw i captured! Gov was there with me! he will tell yaa 
so today was a day that i have waited a very long time for, why? because i am a fan of Elvis and i wanted to capture the tribute in action! so when we got there i set up the cameras for both filming and photography. There was a little problem as natural light was coming in through the big shop front window, which meant the lighting conditions inside kept changing so the settings had to be tweaked as the night progressed.
We were given a warm welcome by all the staff at the restaurant and felt welcomed into there domain. Everyone liked the fact that we were there to take probational quality pictures and video. Before all the customers came it was time for a quick spot of promotion and advertising Prophecy Media. I asked Mr Ali if I could put my Business cards on the tables. He was more than happy and also said to leave a bunch of them in there business card directory/bowl.
So the night progressed and Elvis entered the building! he looked the part i hope he sounds the part is what went through my head. He was a one man show, no crew members. So he started to bring all his sound equipment in and started to set up. One problem i had was that his lights where a little to dim for the JVC to be filming without any gain. Ideally i would have steered away from using any gain but o well shit happens and the gain was turned on.
As the night progressed Elvis had the crowed on their feet and also had me moving to the beat. I was able to capture just under an hour of video footage and over 800 pictures for the night. I made the effort to talk to the eating customers to try and promote my self and the company. Whilst I was there many customers asked if they could have professionally printed pictures. My reply to them was wait till they are on Facebook, then get in touch with your specifications and we will take it from there. I handed interested clients with business cards and they did look hopeful to do business with me.
Overall the night was a success, got a lot of praise from the customers the management and Elvis, have to say i am a little chuffed with the out come of this! i can get used to this

29th on bank holiday royal weding day, it also bought us to our agreement to the final terms of the filming schedules with Josh,
we decided that filming would commence on the 2nd of may and we will leave 2 days to edit it.
Josh was ready to tell his story, We were ready to capture it all in glorious HD and you should be ready to watch it all in the next few days!

Well today i went over to Indiana Restaurant to do a Recce for the shoot scheduled for the 2nd of June 2011.
i found a few problems whilst i was there:
Lighting was low and could affect film quality.
Not enough power outlets for dedicated lighting.
apart from the 2 problems above nothing else seemed to be a problem.
I discussed with Mr Ali that we will be needing extension leads for the lighting we will be providing. He told me that the Elvis Tribute will bring lighting so i wouldn’t need to worry about it. I was still concerned about what kind ov lighting he will bring so i still remain sceptical, we will have to see on the day

So you have just watched the final outcome of the RToP project and my has it pulled through. We have been getting good feedback from the coordinators back at RToP. Hopefully you found the piece interesting and enlightening.
This whole experience has made me grow up as a media producer and not just use the creative side but to use the intellectual part of my brain, the part that can tap in to your limbic system. From waking up at 5 in the morning to get to London all the way through to the final hours of the edit, it was all worth it.
By doing this piece we may have saved the lives of some Palestinian people. even if it makes one person change their perception on the whole middle east situation.

Editing this was a really simple process and i got it done today in 3hrs. Josh done an excellent job to get his message across with out messing it up. He was calm composed and made direct conversation with the audiance audience, this was very good as he made it personal.
I added a few music files from freeplay.com where i found nice sounds to give the message across. The main message was that if you try you can do it, its up to you to choose your own destiny.
The edit was easy on the eye and used fades which felt natural and calm. It didn’t distract the audience from the point of the story. The final piece will be uploaded ASAP
